Gavin, Tyler, and Andrew hold the inaugural meeting of Gear Whores Anonymous. In the news we talk about the Ontario Liberals giving their managers a $125 million raise, and Albertans chanting Lock Her Up. The guys have a long and very detailed technical discussion around selecting tactical gear; from belts to vest, to chest rigs, to body armour and plate carriers there isn’t anything we don’t have an opinion on, and we’re pretty sure it's always better in multi-cam.

Message Body:
hey guys,
Great show!
Just wondering if you could do a section on plate carriers and how to chose them and what plates you suggest?
Gear that you always have or need as a minimum - Police duty belt
Andrew - HSGI Suregrip Battle Belt, 3x HSGI Pisotl/Rifle Tacos, dump pouch, SOE Compact Tear-Off Med Pouch, Mil Spec Monkey shear pouch plus, holster, carabiner
Gavin - Stormrider Gear Over/Under lord belt system, 3x HSGI Pistol/Rifle Tacos, HSGI Multi Mission Medical Taco, cheapo “universal” holster (at the moment)
Tyler - stiff gun belt, a holster securely fixed to your person with retention you’re confident in, capacity to carry 2+1 pistol magazines and 5+1 rifle magazines in an accessible fashion.
I use the HSGI cobra belt, hsgi tacos on a thigh rig (OR bladetech revolution magazine holsters fixed directly to the belt). I use a bladetech d/os holster since it allows me to use the same holster config whether I’m wearing body armour or not.
High ground dump pouch
Eye/ear pro goes without saying, med kit/ IFAK I just put together a kit built on the Grey ghost gear med pouch - $100-150
Extra ammo, good to have items
Andrew - HSGI Chest Rig and Rifle Tacos,
Gavin - Haley Strategic Chest rig with Haley Strategic Flatpack and Ferro Concepts Dangler
Tyler - difficult time imagining where I’d want a chest rig over my thigh rig, or where I’d want a chest rig instead of a full carrier, so I don't own nor have I ever owned one. I do however have more HSGI tacos distributed on my Eberlestock x3 lo-drag pack, which serves as my primary pack and means for “canadian carry” - ie hauling a non-restricted rifle around wherever I go. I would recommend HSGI tacos because of their flexibility - they will hold any pistol/rifle magazine securely and are adjustable.
Hydration - hsgi bottle holster and camelbak armourbak 3L
Clothing - For pants, a shooter needs to consider belt loop size and placement. The 3 and 9 o-clock positions on your waist should be free of loops, and the loops should be large enough to accomodate not only the gun belt but its buckle too. A workaround for this would be to go to an inner and outer belt system, but I feel they’re unnecessarily bulky. For shooting pants I prefer Vertx and 5.11. The fit should be neat and trim, but still allow for a skin-tight base layer and another layer of fleece or similar material to be worn comfortably, ie not so tight that movement and shooting position is inhibited. The same goes for your top.
Footwear - I’ve had Rocky boots fall apart in months. The only boots I’ve owned that I will put my name behind are Danners. For winter I wear Danner 8” pronghorns with 800gr of thinsulate. I buy a half-size up to accommodate layered socks. For fall, spring and summer I wear Danner 8” Kinetic GTX. Note that the kinetics are not waterproof. Belleville boots come in at a close second, even their off-shore boots marketed under the Tactical Research brand have held up to a lot of use in my experience.
Andrew - Level 4 plates, Shellback Tactical first gen Banshee, with HSGI Waa/Wee shoulder pads. About $220 USD. Convertible cumberbund.
Gavin - Level 3 plates, Ferro Concepts FCPC, with Ferro Concepts Shoulder Pads, Elastic cumebund with mag/utility pouches.
Tyler - lvl 4 steel plates with anti spall carried in a recently adjusted high ground plate carrier. The carrier comes with a cumberbund but I have done away with it as I prefer to carry on my thigh where things are more accessible. On the carrier itself I only use a pair of pistol tacos which could be used for extra pistol magazines or more commonly a light and multitool.
Price, Features, Quality, Availability
Tyler - I chose this carrier because it was feature-rich, light on bullshit, US-made sold by a reputable dealer (one shot tactical), and modular. The carrier comes with an adjustable and removable cumberbund, internal pockets for flat items such as a map or dope sheet, drag handle on the back side, quick release buckles on both sides, a quick release system for the plates, it came with shoulder pads with loops for routing comms or water, and accessory side plate carriers are available.
When it comes to the price I paid 260 3 years ago but last I checked the price was a lot closer to 400. The price is ultimately irrelevant. It's a life-saving device and the difference between good and bad is only a few hundred dollars. Are you worth an extra $100? Probably. There is always the added safety net of higher end items having better resale too. I’m a buy-once, cry-once kind of guy so I buy quality where it's warranted and I save, sell or trade to get what I need if I can't afford it. Between the carrier, plates, pair of tacos and hydration pack you’re looking at probably $1000 to replicate my carrier setup, and another $400 or so for the thigh rig and holster.
It’s an expensive hobby/lifestyle, and there's no shame in buying low and mid tier equipment if it suits your purposes or you’re flipping items as you go and reinvest in good stuff along the way.

Hello, Andrew, Gavin and Marty.
Episode 55 was one of the most engaging CPP episodes I've heard in a while. Not that there is anything wrong with your previous work, it is the topic and how you your guest host Jewel dealt with the material that caught my interest. I downloaded a copy Ep. 55 to keep and listen to a second or third time.
Jewel was an excellent addition to the show. While I've heard her on a few other podcasts, she really shone on CPP, adding an interesting and yet another varying point of view to the discussion.
I hope you are able to have her on again.
Mr. Heinlein had it right; a person should earn their franchise. It is too valuable to be wasted as many of us who have it given to us do.
Please keep up the great work.
Your devoted listener,

Last episode you guys talked about electoral reform with Jewel. I don't agree with Andrew's idea that you need to earn the right to vote. It's already your right. Andrew's idea was still better than Jewel's, she took live action role playing way to far with her milita. Keep you the good work.

Intro statements
Q1. Justin Trudeau has not even created one new additional full time job in Canada in over a year of Governing. What do you think is the most important piece of your economic plan that will create jobs.
Q2. The latest fiscal update from the Liberal Government paints a pretty grim picture for the finances of this country. Government spending is on the rise and there is no plan to return to a balanced budget. Keeping that in mind what is your single biggest plan to bring the budget back to balance. Just as it was when the Conservatives left government.
Q3. Here in Saskatchewan the current inter provincial trade barriers between provinces are not only impacting local businesses negatively but also creating a negative effect on provincial economies across Canada. What do you think is the one thing the Federal Government can do to make the free flowing of goods across the provincial borders less restrictive, especially in Saskatchewan.
Q4. Just last week the Liberal Government announced that it is maintaining 2016’s number for immigration at 300K. The Liberals Economic growth council has recommended raising immigration levels to 450K over the next 5 years but the immigration minister rejected that target. What do you believe is the right approach to immigration in Canada. What number is appropriate to build our economy and to do our part on the international stage.
Q5. What would you do for those immigrating to Canada to settle into their new found lives and country.
Q6. The Trudeau Government is threatening to force a carbon tax grab on every region of the country. On the surface it seems to be an additional stream of revenue for the governments to take off the paychecks of hard working Canadians. In Saskatchewan Premiere Brad Wall has been clear that his government does not believe that this is the right approach. It has manyCanadians as well as local residents concerned about what this will end up costing. What would you do differently to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Q7. Balancing the economy and the environment especially in a country like Canada with all of our natural resources requires clear direction and leadership. It means getting infrastructure projects like pipelines built while ensuring the natural beauty of our environment is conserved and protected for future generations. How would you balance these needs.
Q8. What are your plans to open and improve relations with the new American government.
Q9. For a few reasons we had a terrible grain transportation crisis a couple of years ago that cost Western farmers billions in losses. The Liberals recently announced changes to address our grain handling and transportation system for 2017. What would you do to ensure greater market access for our agriculture producers here on the prairies.
Q10. What in your opinion must the Conservative party do in order to broaden its appeal to Canadians all over the country in order to increase the chances of winning the next Canadian election.
Q11. Most people prefer a knowledgeable hands on leader, not just a Figure Head. Can you describe the type of leader you would be and what areas of expertise you would bring as a leader of the conservative party in 2017

Just read an article in the NatPost by Christie Blatchford (see here: http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/christie-blatchford-if-gender-identity-debate-at-u-of-t-was-about-free-speech-then-the-battle-is-truly-lost)
Here's an excerpt I submit for your discussion...
"The videos sparked a firestorm of reaction, saw Peterson receive two warning letters from the university (including one co-signed by arts and science dean David Cameron, who kicked the event off on Saturday with the now required and thus unctuous nod to it taking place on the traditional lands of various indigenous peoples) and has put his career at risk.
Then moderator Mayo Moran, a lawyer and former law school dean who is now the provost of Trinity College, came to the microphone to acknowledge the difficulty of the subject matter and to announce that the university had arranged “for support” for anyone who might need it just outside the hall."
Two things:
After attending a couple of school meetings earlier this year, the firs elementary and the other a secondary school, I suspected something was afoot when both started off with some long and guilt ridden preamble about native lands, which has now been confirmed to me as another PC invocation of white guilt. <excuse me while I puke...>
And that mention about 'support' being available for traumatized students? These people have NO clue.....
Also read about how in Libya, 3 'young men' turned a monkey loose on a high school girl, and the shit storm that followed with at least 20 dieing.
Here's a solution: send all the politically correct university students to Libya; I'm sure they'll settle everything down there....
The world as we know it is ending, and I'm thinking the best that we can do is to sit back and poke at the fire now and then, make sure the blaze is contained and burns all the garbage.....

The language is spicy. This is the end of what Marty, Gavin, Mat, Tyler, and Andrew recorded in Episode 50. It got so derailed but it was such good banter we decided to make it a bonus episode. We normally save this type of thing for the post show, but its so good we're going to let you listen. This week Rachel, Tyler, Marty, Gavin and Andrew get together to talk about Emergency Supplies to keep in your vehicle as we get ready for a Canadian winter. We get bogged down in the news talking about canoes being cultural appropriation, as well as originally being stolen from the Dutch. The panel also gets off topic and discusses disenfranchising voters, in addition to the government imposing gender quotas on private businesses, and taxpayers funding erectile dysfunction medication for Toronto employees. We also address a lengthy piece of listener feedback.

Email from New Listener
Hello there!
I recently stumbled across your podcast and, after listening to a few episodes, decided to write in. It is always a wonderful thing to see fellow Canadians creating excellent content, especially when those same Canadians are giving a perspective on the world that is often unique.
There were a few instances of things said during the past couple of episodes that have left me with a bit of a sour taste however. I will give a few specific examples but generally they can all be boiled down to the following pattern:
This pattern truly puzzles me for a number of reasons. It’s perfectly fine to support one political party over another if they most closely align with your views at the time, heck I’ve voted for each of the main three in the past for various reasons, but only a sheep agrees 100% with any particular party at the exclusion of all others.
It seems silly to me to moan about the Liberals ‘getting away’ with more than the Conservatives were able to when they did the same thing previously. Instead shouldn’t we be demanding more from all of our politicians rather than framing it as ‘OK for my guy but not theirs’?
Similarly when the issue of the Liberal proposed carbon tax came up, a tax that I also agree is probably not the best approach to fighting carbon emissions, the panel instead regressed to fighting over whether or not man made climate change is real while parroting various Conservative party sound bites on the matter. For a group that seems most irked when ‘progressives’ repeat what the Liberal, NDP or ‘left-wing media’ outlets say you sure don’t mind doing the same for ‘your’ party or ‘right-wing media’ outlets like Rebel. Pot calling the kettle black much?
It is also legitimately scary that a group of otherwise seemingly well educated and very intelligent individuals would disregard the worldwide scientific consensus on man made climate change and instead opt to follow the talking points of those who aren’t at all qualified but happen to share their political ideology… but I guess what do the people who have studied it know right? They’re only ‘elite, liberal, [insert insult here], egghead’ scientists. I mean when I’m not feeling well and go to my doctor and he tells me something that doesn’t fit my political ideology I just try the next 90-some doctors until I find the one that does agree. That’s how science works right?
Before leaving that topic even if man made climate change is not a real thing, which again it very much is, the panel seemed to at least agree that climate change of some sort was happening. If any of the world’s premier security and defence officials are to be believed then this represents not only an environmental, health care, economic and political issue but also one of national security as well. Surely we could all agree that doing something, even the little bit that our country alone could do, to try and offset the related downsides would be a good thing no?
All that said I hope you don’t consider this hate mail – it isn’t meant to be. Also don’t think for a minute that I’m some lefty writing in because you’ve insulted me – I’m not and you haven’t; if anything I’m a socially liberal (as in stay out of my personal life), financially conservative (as in stop spending my money on stupid stuff), independent. I guess you could think of me like a libertarian without the whole “I’m going to let your house burn down because you didn’t buy my shiny fire medallion” crazy streak.
I look forward to hearing new episodes from you and your panel’s unique perspectives every week!

Premier Brad Wall defends 'blunt language' on carbon pricing
Forget the Praise: BC's Carbon Tax Is a Failure
http://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2016/03/08/BC-Carbon-Tax-Failure/
Higher emissions, slow growth, regressive taxation.
Here’s how much carbon pricing will likely cost households
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF), for example, claims the average household will be on the hook for more than $2,500 per year.
Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, for example, claims the average household will see costs of $1,250 per year.
The average household uses about 2,000 litres of gasoline. A $50 per tonne tax adds 11.2 cents per litre to that, for a total cost of $224. To heat the average home, Canadians use just over 90 gigajoules of natural gas. The carbon tax adds about $230 per year to those costs.
Trudeau says naysayers on Canada's carbon-tax plan using 'scare tactics'
Why conservatives have it wrong about Trudeau’s carbon tax
For anyone other than climate-change deniers, significantly reducing greenhouse-gas emissions is a necessity. Unless you think we shouldn’t bother cutting carbon emissions, the most economically logical way of doing so is by putting a price on carbon. That’s Economics 101 – you know, the course conservatives usually accuse folks to their left of having skipped. It’s a solution involving free markets and price signals, rather than top-down meddling in the individual decisions of millions of people and firms. What’s more, higher taxes on carbon can be used to fund things like lower business or personal income tax rates – something conservatives constantly clamour for.
Beginning in 2018, carbon will have to be priced at $10 a tonne, with the price rising by $10 a year until it hits $50 in 2022.
$10 tax on a tonne of carbon is equivalent to a tax on gasoline of 2 cents per litre. A $50 per tonne price means a gas tax of 11 cents a litre.

From Harrison:
Hi Andrew, glad your house didn’t burn down.
As always, another interesting episode this week, although given the number of the show I was expecting a bit more about god’s own caliber.
Kudos as well on reminding Canadians about the costs of UN Peacekeeping.
I do want to make two observations though, because some of the information about OPEC and NAFTA’s effect on domestic oil prices was inaccurate, as was the comment regarding the UN and military spending: The 2% defense target spending target is a NATO “suggestion”, not a UN mandate.
Now on to oil.
While it’s true that NAFTA affects the domestic price of oil, it does so only by requiring us to sell to the USA and Mexico at our domestic price (Article 605). NAFTA does not commit Canada to exporting a specific share of our oil to the United States or Mexico and Canadian producers general sell without restriction on an open, global market.
It is legally and in theory, technically possible for Canadian consumers to by our entire domestic production, but that would be economic suicide for any non-energy producing province. Such a move would dramatically increase fuel prices because Alberta and Saskatchewan oil is on the whole, more expensive to produce, refine, and in the absence of pipelines, transport than light crude from the middle east and Africa.
We aren’t buying OPEC oil because of a treaty. We aren’t even members of OPEC (http://www.opec.org/opec_web/en/about_us/25.htm)
We are buying OPEC oil, because at least for now it’s cheaper and cleaner than our home-brew.
As an aside, if we commit to buying oil at $100 or higher from Alberta, and our competitors keep paying the lower global price, our economic competitiveness would suffer. Moreover, it would have the same inflationary effects that you and the rest of the panel correctly attributed to an increased minimum wage so beloved of the NDP and other leftist groups.
Increasing pipeline capacity would help lower domestic costs, but not enough to make increasing the share of domestic oil consumed in Ontario and Quebec more than a few % points larger. And that only holds true if production and transportation costs in the middle east don’t fall – which they have been doing year on year for two decades now.
OPEC’s main effect on the price of oil comes from it's ability to limit supply of cheap oil via production quotas.
The environmental standards are a bit of red herring vis-a-vis Alberta. Actually caring about the environment aside, the main reason we have higher standards is that it takes much more energy, chemicals and most importantly water to produce and refine Alberta oil vs OPEC oil.
Human rights, democratic participation and labour laws are a different story and legitimate reasons to not trade with the Saudis, but that doesn't change the fact that extracting their oil produces fewer greenhouse and heavy metal emissions than our bitumen fields.
Keep up the good work!
Harrison

Andrew, I was listening to your take down description while on my way to a firearms course at a range other than my own. What you experienced hit home as I could have happened to me or any shooter legally enjoying our sport. Thank you for being a solid example of how to react, regardless of how unjust a LEO's actions may be.
If you plan on pursuing action against what you experienced and require financial support, please consider a GoFundMe campaign, I will gladly support you.
Thank you for the work you put into the podcast, I thoroughly enjoyed your solo show last week.
was coming back from Wasaga Beach early yesterday morning after visiting the Huronia Rod and Gun club for a course on Sunday. As I crested a hill I saw the OPP had an early RIDE program out. I started to laugh. Instead of being nervous, I recalled your measured, confident and clear responses and prepared myself to answer in a similar vein.
I am sorry for what you experienced, sir, but it definitely prepared me for my first police stop while transporting restricted firearms.

Do you have any views on who might best protect our firearms rights best should a conservative government come to power? Every time I see see the MSM articles I see red and would rather hear your opinions. Keep up the freedom talk. Freedom is the righteous man's viagra

Hey Andrew,
I have to admit, you piqued my curiosity about the "AC pilot left with the corporate card in the bar" intro comment on episode 40....
Being (allegedly) an AC pilot myself, I am somewhat confused... Did you mean to refer to the air transat or united pilots recently arrested in Glasgow for being under the influence recently?
FYI, while not pursuing personal liberty by any means on my days off, I pride myself on showing up to work in a professional, non-intoxicated manner:)
On a different note, thanks again for covering AR-15 alternatives, especially those not trackable by the state. (Non restricted). Glad you picked up on that aspect. I am enjoying (allegedly) my XCR a lot!
Keep up the good work!

Reclassify the AR15
Sponsored by Bob Zimmer
25,249 signatures
The Government thanks these petitioners for their representations.
The Government believes in balanced, effective measures with respect to firearms that prioritize public safety while ensuring that law-abiding firearms owners are treated fairly under the law. The Government has committed to getting handguns and assault weapons off our streets and to strengthening controls on such weapons. The Government is committed to putting decision-making authority about weapons classification back into the hands of police, not politicians. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is responsible for the technical determination of the classification of firearms in accordance with the criteria stipulated by Parliament in the Criminal Code.
The Criminal Code Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and Other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles as Prohibited, Restricted or Non-Restricted list the Armalite Rifle (AR)-15 as a named variant of the restricted M-16 rifle. The AR-15 is restricted because of its lineage to the military-issued M-16 assault rifle.
The Government has no intention of using section 117.15 of the Criminal Code to change the classification of the AR-15

Electoral Reform Referendum
Sponsored by Scott Reid
14,237 signature
The Government thanks the petitioners for their views on this important matter.
The petitioners are contributing to a public discourse that is vitally important to shaping the historic change
being brought to our democratic institutions. To maintain public confidence, the Government understands that Canadians expect greater inclusion, transparency, meaningful engagement and modernization from their public institutions. The Government is committed to ensuring that Canadians see real change to the way politics and government work. Canadians can breathe new life into the democratic process by drawing strength from our diversity, by advancing evidence-based policy, by fostering civility in politics, and by placing value on listening and dialogue.
To that end, the Government is committed to ensuring that 2015 was the last election under the first-pastthe-post system. Electoral reform is an opportunity for Canadians to work together as a country to ensure that every vote counts. Canada inherited the first-past-the-post system and can build a better system that provides a stronger link between the democratic will of Canadians and the election result, one that inspires
Canadians to take part, and one that reflects collective Canadian values of fairness, inclusiveness, gender, equity, openness and mutual respect.
To get there, the process leading to reform must also embody these values. Above all, the Government will focus on listening to Canadians across our diverse society.
The Government will be working to establish a parliamentary committee involving all parties to study a variety of reform options to bring our voting system into the 21st Century. The committee will be tasked to consult Canadians from coast to coast to coast in order to develop its recommendations to Parliament. Once the committee is formed, further details will be available regarding its consultation plans and opportunities for Canadians to participate in the process.
The Government encourages the petitioners, like all Canadians, to join the conversation and help shape their future electoral system.

Property Rights
Sponsored by Bob Zimmer
Property rights are a fundamental part of Canada’s legal system, and the right to own and dispose of property is a basic component of our economy and way of life. Canadian law currently provides, in many ways, for their recognition and protection, both in the common law and in statute. Section 1(a) of the Canadian Bill of Rights guarantees the right of individuals to the enjoyment of property, and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law. Many other federal statutes contain provisions to ensure fair dealing when property rights are affected, by providing for fair procedures and for fair compensation – for example, shareholder laws, banking laws, and criminal laws. Canada’s common law tradition is also built on the concept of property rights, and offers protection for them by virtue, for example, of the common law presumption of compensation when someone is deprived of property.
During the discussions and debates preceding the introduction of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982, a significant amount of time and consideration was given to the idea of including a guarantee of property rights. The idea was raised again during the lead-up to the Charlottetown Accord. However, in both cases, the idea of entrenching property rights in the Constitution was strongly resisted by some provinces, as it was viewed as an intrusion into provincial jurisdiction, and as a restriction on their ability to legislate in areas involving property. This same concern arose in the debates leading up to the adoption of the Canadian Bill of Rights.
As important as property rights are, Canadians have recognized that these rights are not unlimited. Environmental laws, municipal laws, laws regulating incorporation and the operation of limited companies, laws regulating the division of family property, succession and estate planning laws, are just some of the many laws that place socially necessary limits on either the ownership or the use of property.

Ontario Retirement Pension Plan staff
In podcast #36, you mused about who the executives were in the now defunct ORPP. I got a little bored and tried to dig up some names...
Well, I first found the bio on Indira Naidoo-Harris (https://news.ontario.ca/profiles/en/indira-naidoo-harris)
As well, there is another who was listed as being part of the ORPP for 2 years, Mitzie Hunter (https://news.ontario.ca/profiles/en/mitzie-hunter)
Using the Ontario Employee Directory, I found the following:
http://www.infogo.gov.on.ca/infogo/#orgProfile/113436/en
http://www.infogo.gov.on.ca/infogo/#orgProfile/100559/en
Using LInkedIn, I found 7 people listed with "Ontario Retirement Pension Plan" in there profiles.
(https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/f?type=all&keywords=%22Ontario+Retirement+Pension+Plan%22&orig=GLHD&rsid=276735741470331678033&pageKey=voltron_federated_search_internal_jsp&trkInfo=tarId%3A1470331682457&search=Search)
Then, searching the above, I saw that some were using ORPP in the profile. Searching that, I came up with 90 results
https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/f?type=all&keywords=%22ORPP%22&orig=GLHD&rsid=276735741470331709557&pageKey=voltron_federated_search_internal_jsp&trkInfo=tarId%3A1470331756394&search=Search
That then showed me the term, "Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Administration", which had 24 people in it.
https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/p?company=Ontario+Retirement+Pension+Plan+Administration+Corporation&trk=prof-exp-company-name
(Note the CIO...was hired away from Blackberry in April of this year...)
No definitive list of executives and no where near the 20+ staff that you mentioned.
Costing
https://news.ontario.ca/mof/en/2016/07/ontario-retirement-pension-plan-accomplishments-and-costs.html
Notice the line that they have "engaged the Office of Auditor General of Ontario ot review the financial statements..."
...then I got more bored and dropped it...c

Background
July 18 2016
The Moncton fish & Game Association (MFGA) has just learned today, that ALL large capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds) for the Ruger 10/22 are now considered Prohibited Devices under the Firearms Act.
Green Diamond Outfitters was required by the CFO to pull 10/22 magazine inventory from shelves
Ruger BX-25 magazine was previously banned, other models were not. The ban was because the BX-25 was marketed for the Charger pistol.
Bulletin 72 “that the maximum permitted capacity of a magazine is determined by the physical characteristics of the firearm it is designed or manufactured for.”
Section 3 (2) (magazine restrictions) of the Criminal Code Regulations:
(2) Paragraph (1)(a) does not include any cartridge magazine that
(a) was originally designed or manufactured for use in a firearm that
(i) is chambered for, or designed to use, rimfire cartridges
RCMP “E” Division Broadcast
-Any 10/22 Magazine which exceeded ten shots capacity is a prohibited device
-This is a regulatory/voluntary issue of possession to allow pinning
-Possession of a criminal device un S84 Part 4 CCC not recommended as a stand-alone change
-30 day wait time for voluntary pinning
-removal of a pin is criminal intent, seize and charge
Retailers in other Divisions; IE Wolverine Supplies in Division “D” has not been notified
Implications on other firearms?

Just wanted to get your thoughts on which AR 80% lower jig kit is 'best'. I've been looking at the ones available from Dlask Arms vs what's available from CTCS; do you know which one is better in terms of ease of use, useability with various 80% lower forgings? Not that I would ever really use it, just as an exercise... unless of course we had a complete collapse of government, which could never happen.... hell, we've got sunny ways, and this is 2016 after all...
Any info on anyone using one of these (in the U.S. of course, 'cuz we're Canadian, not gun nuts like those guys down south) and variability on the raw forgings?
Just looking for some hypotheticals as a brain exercise.

Hey guys I was on my way to work this morning listening to Kingston Ontario's K Rock 105.7 when the two morning show hosts started bashing guns, saying how they are scary, and quote " I can believe people have them in their homes so dangerous" they were spouting off a bunch of false information about how "assault Rifles" and AR-15 assault rifles. Im a huge supporter of your show as well as The International Liberty or Death Podcast. Tyler if you could or want to bring this up on your podcast too that would be great I couldn't find a spot to send you the message I just sent the radio station. Bunch of Bata male CUCKS. Here was my message to the Radio station :
Hello,
I am "OUTRAGED" at the way Chris and Tony discussed how bad guns are this morning. I don't disagree bad people are using them for bad things, but when people go on a rant as they did this morning it paints a bad picture in people's minds that are on the fence or already don't like guns against us Responsible Law-abiding Citizens. To go on how they know you can just walk into a range in Merica' and pick up automatic rifles is completely false! You are not allowed to own our use fully automatic weapons even in the states! On top of that We have target ranges here in Canada with guns you can walk in and use. And do they even know what an assault rifle is? I believe they referred to an AR-15 as an Assault Rifle.... Do they even know what AR stands for? Armalite Rifles.... it's a brand.... Only the military has assaults rifles. They went on to say how it would be so scary to have them in your home... wow I must live on the edge because i've grown up with them in every house i've lived in and never once have they harmed anybody or anything.... I am not trying to be rude but they shouldn't be spouting off random incorrect facts about the subject if they are not going to educate themselves on it first.
Just last weekend in Brockville there was the 6th Annual Charity Shoot. The funds raised go to a local charity. This year the money raised went to Soldier On. The community that came together to donate their time, money, gifts, props, and land was great. There was even some Americans that came up one being from Texas. A few people from New Brunswick even made it out. Without guns this would have never happened for the last 6 years and charity's wouldn't not have received the money raised by these people. Also our country was built around trapping and hunting. Guns are a part of our heritage that I am very proud of.
They never slander alcohol on the show? how many people turn violent after a few drinks and harm people? they never say that's scary, in fact having alcohol in your home makes you a target for break and enter... Oh should we ban cars because people kill each other and BUS LOADS OF CHILDREN every year.... not anyone can get a firearms license... anyone can get a driver's license. Most crimes committed with a firearm is not done by a law abiding citizen. It's done by a person with no license, and illegally obtained firearm. But I guess banning heroin and cocaine has made that non existent and un obtainable to harm people hasn't it?
Bad people will always find ways to harm people. If it's not a gun it will be pressure cookers and nails such as the incident in Boston. etc. Bad people are bad people
I'm a pretty loyal listener and promote your radio station to all.. especially the Ryan Dennee show. But I will not support your station or the comments made this morning and they were very off side. Perhaps an apology to their valued listeners would be appropriate. Not for their views, everyone is aloud their view.... but for spouting off inaccurate nonsense fear mongering information.
Regards,
Jordan

Gavin – a business owner, gun enthusiast, hunter, atheist and host of the Greater Toronto Area chapter of the Tactical Beard Owners Club.
Tyler, co-founder and co-host of the Liberty or Death Podcast, competitive shooter with the Edgy S#itlords Shooting Team (now unofficially sponsored by Monster Assault), and enthusiastic supporter of helicopter rides for his political enemies. He also helps the Brockville Police Department in training for high-risk takedowns.
Also here tonight, from where the stars at night are big and bright, semi-pro s#it stirrer and international outlaw (at least according to Brockville, Ontario), Matt Wendel. Also, gun enthusiast, libertarian, and father to be.
… and I’m your host Andrew - I’m a libertarian, competitive shooter, gear reviewer at www.everydaytacticool.com, and a gun club director, and I have not had any recent visits from the local constabulary

Dear Canadian Patriots Podcast,
Kudos for being not simply Canadian on the internet, but being Canadian and bearded on the internet. I am as of yet to succeed at any of these things.
Since you're always asking for hate mail and I am full of hate, disdain and under-cooked chicken, it behooves me to submit unto you a terse admonition to address the topic of Canadian firearm laws and their so-called "legal loopholes" forthwith.
In the peculiar, yours truly ponders at:
-the continued ability to argue capacity restrictions save lives (in light of how easily circumvented they are, legally or otherwise)
-the absence of .50 Beowulf pistols. Seems kind of obvious.
-whether anybody has tried 9mm in .45 GAP and .45 ACP in .50 GI Glock magazines.
In any event, thanks for the informative parts of your show (I didn't know I could sign petitions as a non-resident). The other parts are also interesting, too.
Sincerely,
John
