This week Tyler, marty, Gavin, and Andrew got together to imbibe all of the strawberry daiquiris. In the news the boys discuss the Strathroy bomber. More importantly they talk about alternatives to the AR-15 available to law abiding gun owners in Canada. If you don’t have an AR-15; you’re wrong fix yourself.

Episode 39 Show Notes

Intro

Hello to all of our listeners out there in podcast land, and welcome to episode 39 of the Canadian Patriot Podcast, recorded August 15, 2016.

Tyler is a direct descendant of Charlemagne that competes with the Young Helicopter Pilots’ Shooting Association - when he isn’t taking communists out on one-way flights over the Pacific from Santiago, he cohosts the International Liberty or Death Podcast.

Gavin - back refreshed from his bohemian grove camping retreat and ready to rustle jimmies again is a business owner, gun enthusiast, hunter, atheist and host of the Greater Toronto Area chapter of the Tactical Beard Owners Club

Marty - Sport shooter and hunter from Southern Ontario

… and I’m your host Andrew - I’m a libertarian, competitive shooter, gear reviewer at www.everydaytacticool.com, and firearms instructor.

Forgot too add to my last email

just caught up with the last two podcasts, having returned from a family canoe trip to the Barron Canyon, and heard that I forgot to recommend a brew for Gavin. I hereby nominate 'Beaver Valley Cider' if he can get it.
Really dry, not sweet, and at 7.5%, it kicks ass!
(Can't drink beer myself anymore because of gluten sensitivities....  )
While I'm at it, what can you guys enlighten me about hiking about in wilderness areas (Crown lands) with a shorty shotgun for predator defense? Do you need to carry a target in your back pocket to prove you're (allegedly) 'out target shooting'?

Episode 38 Show Notes

Intro

Hello to all of our listeners out there in podcast land, and welcome to episode 38 of the Canadian Patriot Podcast, recorded August 8, 2016.

Tonight I am joined by Tyler who will be usurping Gavin’s usual duties. Tyler is a true patriot whose blood smells suspiciously like napalm and shoots with Doc Holiday’s Fully Ripened Huckleberries (name subject to change) - he also co-hosts the International Liberty or Death Podcast and can be accurately described as a minarchist edgelord.

Marty - a sport shooter and hunter from southern ontario

Gavin - could not be here tonight as he is participating in a Bohemian Grove camping retreat

… and I’m your host Andrew - I’m a libertarian, competitive shooter, gear reviewer at www.everydaytacticool.com, and firearms instructor.

From CJ

Ontario Retirement Pension Plan staff

In podcast #36, you mused about who the executives were in the now defunct ORPP. I got a little bored and tried to dig up some names...

Well, I first found the bio on Indira Naidoo-Harris (https://news.ontario.ca/profiles/en/indira-naidoo-harris)

As well, there is another who was listed as being part of the ORPP for 2 years, Mitzie Hunter (https://news.ontario.ca/profiles/en/mitzie-hunter)

Using the Ontario Employee Directory, I found the following:
http://www.infogo.gov.on.ca/infogo/#orgProfile/113436/en
http://www.infogo.gov.on.ca/infogo/#orgProfile/100559/en

Using LInkedIn, I found 7 people listed with "Ontario Retirement Pension Plan" in there profiles.
(https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/f?type=all&keywords=%22Ontario+Retirement+Pension+Plan%22&orig=GLHD&rsid=276735741470331678033&pageKey=voltron_federated_search_internal_jsp&trkInfo=tarId%3A1470331682457&search=Search)

Then, searching the above, I saw that some were using ORPP in the profile. Searching that, I came up with 90 results
https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/f?type=all&keywords=%22ORPP%22&orig=GLHD&rsid=276735741470331709557&pageKey=voltron_federated_search_internal_jsp&trkInfo=tarId%3A1470331756394&search=Search

That then showed me the term, "Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Administration", which had 24 people in it.
https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/p?company=Ontario+Retirement+Pension+Plan+Administration+Corporation&trk=prof-exp-company-name
(Note the CIO...was hired away from Blackberry in April of this year...)

No definitive list of executives and no where near the 20+ staff that you mentioned.

Costing
https://news.ontario.ca/mof/en/2016/07/ontario-retirement-pension-plan-accomplishments-and-costs.html
Notice the line that they have "engaged the Office of Auditor General of Ontario ot review the financial statements..."

...then I got more bored and dropped it...c
Keep up the podcasting...I'm having a lot of fun listening...

Santa Theresa 1796 Solera Rum.  (Venezuelan)

You'll probably need to go to the LCBO main store in Toronto to find it.  I've seen it there, in Calgary, and a few other places.

It'll take some work to find it.  But it's worth your time.  Smooth sipping, flavorful, and naturally goes great with coke.

A bad copy is the captain Morgan spiced dark rum.

If you guys find yourself on the west coast, drop me an email.  I can always provide you with a sample of that glorious rum...

Also, just a thought for a show idea. AR-15 / AR-10 alternatives under Canadian law, from RFBs, Troy PARs, XCRs, all the way down to the kel Tec SU-16.

All the best,
