8th Annual Podcast network Charity shoot.

• Three day event. July 5th to the 7th.
• This year’s charity will be the Dalhousie Regional High School breakfast program.
• Day one July 5th will be a Furlatchy Handgun Fundamentals class. Price $100 with all proceeds going to this year’s charity. Start time is 9am. 250 rounds. Preregistration is required. Email us at slamfireradio@gmail.com
• Day two July 6th will be a Mapleseed shoot. 20 Spots Cost is $50 adults, $30 for LEO, $15 Youth. Registration starts at: 7:30 Round count is: 300+
• Day three July 7th will be the Charity shoot. Registration is at 9am. Cost is $25
• • There will be four events:
  • • 1st will be a mini steel challenge match. The four steel challange stages will be, Accelorator, Pendulum, Smoke & Hope and Five to Go. These are USPSA Steel Challenges that can be Googled. Mini round count is 100, bring 200! There will be three divisions, .22 pistol, .22 rifle or 9mm and above handgun.
    • 2nd event will be a .22 rifle silhouette gallery style shoot. Distance is approx 18m. 20 rnds of .22 LR. Shoot 5 Rams, then 5 turkeys, then 5 pigs, then 5 chickens.
    • 3rd event is a round of Trap. 25 rnds of shotgun, your choice of gage.
    • Finally we’ll end the day with a fun rifle and pistol shoot. Bring whatever you want to shoot. Distances between 100-200 on the rifle range. 18m on the pistol range on steel plate rack, dueling tree and hostage target.
  • All three events will take place at the Restigouche Gun Club in Balmoral NB.
  • BBQ provided by Smoke on the Water. Smoke Meat, sides and drinks.

just wanted to clarify something. I heard you guys say that businesses are currently still required to record purchasers' info. Are you sure about that? I thought Steven Blaney told the CFOs that they may not make recording of people's PALs a condition of the business license. This was the backdoor registry backlash post C-19. I sure as shit hope the shops I have been purchasing non-restricteds from, since the LGR was abolished, have not been recording my info. Can you confirm?

8th Annual Canadian Firearms Podcasters Network Charity Shoot

8th Annual Podcast network Charity shoot.

• Three day event. July 5th to the 7th.
• This year’s charity will be the Dalhousie Regional High School breakfast program.
• Day one July 5th will be a Furlatchy Handgun Fundamentals class. 2 Spots left. Price $100 with all proceeds going to this year’s charity. Start time is 9am. 250 rounds. Preregistration is required. Email us at slamfireradio@gmail.com
• Day two July 6th will be a Mapleseed shoot. 20 Spots Cost is $50 adults, $30 for LEO, $15 Youth. Registration starts at: 7:30 Round count is: 300+
• Day three July 7th will be the Charity shoot. Registration is at 9am. Cost is $25
• • There will be four events:
  • • 1st will be a mini steel challenge match. The four steel challange stages will be, Accelorator, Pendulum, Smoke & Hope and Five to Go. These are USPSA Steel Challenges that can be Googled. Mini round count is 100, bring 200! There will be three divisions, .22 pistol, .22 rifle or 9mm and above handgun.
    • 2nd event will be a .22 rifle silhouette gallery style shoot. Distance is approx 18m. 20 rnds of .22 LR. Shoot 5 Rams, then 5 turkeys, then 5 pigs, then 5 chickens.
    • 3rd event is a round of Trap. 25 rnds of shotgun, your choice of gage.
    • Finally we’ll end the day with a fun rifle and pistol shoot. Bring whatever you want to shoot. Distances between 100-200 on the rifle range. 18m on the pistol range on steel plate rack, dueling tree and hostage target.
  • All three events will take place at the Restigouche Gun Club in Balmoral NB.
  • BBQ provided by Smoke on the Water. Smoke Meat, sides and drinks.
• The invitation letter will be on the Restigouche gun club’s website soon.

I tried to get a ‘Happy 150th’ t-shirt from Tim’s site the other day, and the page has gone unserviceable.  Is there a new link to get the shirts?

Also, thanks for the expanded rundown on C-71; it prompted me to get off my diff and make an extra donation to the CCFR.  Andrew is right in the fact that they have been the most proactive and vocal of all the organizations out there. They need our support.  Email Letters to J-Tard and my MP sent as well, but my gut tells me they feed straight from the printer to the shredder. At least paper ones will have to be opened manually.  The liberal stance will no doubt be that they only got a handful in response to the bill. Majority rule in Canada seems awfully comparable to a four year elected dictatorship!

I also threw some money at the legal fund that is fighting the latest CBSA folding knife ruling.  Another cause worth supporting to fight our steadily eroding freedoms!

In episode 95(30minutes in the youtube video/24 minutes on itunes). As a weapons technician i would like to disagree with your statement about the glock being double action.

Double action is common with semi automatic firearms but the glock is a single action.

Single action, the pull of the trigger performs one action that is releasing the striker from the sear.* The trigger bar disengaging an internal safety is not accounted for in this term*

Double action, the pull of the trigger pulls the hammer back ( action 1) and releases the hammer to strike the primer( action2) .

Im just catching up on your show i just started listening your podcasts on iTunes on long drives. Love the show but I cringe hard the technical info is wrong but so far this is the only thing that stood out to me.

I cant find the itunes review button but 5 stars ! Wish for more gun related news etc. I do love hearing your thoughts on firearms.

Maybe try some white russians?
